JOSEPH GRIFFARD, CFP®
Although some say you can’t go home again, that is precisely what Joe Griffard did. A St. Louis native, Joe went away for college after graduating from St. Louis University High School in 1984. He attended the University of Texas-Austin, graduating in 1989 with a dual degree in International Business and Accounting, and then moved to New York to embark on a career serving individual investors at several national brokerage firms.
In the summer of 2005, in the midst of planning to strike out on a new chapter in his career by starting his own practice as an independent financial advisor, Joe was presented with an unexpected opportunity to move his family back to his home town of Ballwin, MO. After considering the challenges involved in starting a new business and relocating his family at the same time, he decided it was worth the risk and effort to return home.
Since then, Joe has kept very busy growing his thriving client-centric practice. In 2007, he passed the Certified Financial Planner™ exam and has been active in several local charities and civic organizations, including Rescued Racers, Habitat for Humanity and serving as a Church Council member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Joe is also active as a coach in several local youth soccer leagues. He and his wife, Julie, have two children, Rachel, 11, and Patrick, 9, and two retired greyhounds.
Joe’s practice focuses on pre and post-retirement planning, estate planning and investment management for affluent families and business owners.
